Mandate

The Federal Science Libraries Network delivers value by serving as a platform for partner libraries and stakeholders in the information sector to collaborate and to share information. The network represents partners in their acquisition activities and provides services that support Government of Canada open science priorities. This includes providing tools to modernize and improve service delivery and leading initiatives to both preserve and provide access to federal print publications and critical Government of Canada scientific output.

Vision

The libraries that make up the Federal Science Libraries Network are vital partners in providing essential infrastructure, systems, tools, resources and services to support world-class research and innovation within their departments and agencies, across the Government of Canada and to the general public.

Mission

To support the Government of Canada’s priorities in research, innovation and open science by collaborating in the development and delivery of innovative infrastructure, systems, tools, resources and services for federal science-based departments and agencies.
