The Federal Science Libraries Network negotiates agreements that provide demonstrated value by securing electronic content at favourable pricing and licensing terms for its partners.

In its support of Open Access (OA) initiatives, the network has negotiated transformative agreements, an umbrella term for contracts that merge reading access and article processing charges (APCs) into a single agreement. These agreements allow partner-affiliated corresponding authors to publish their journal articles OA immediately upon publication at no cost to them.
